Farm Calls

Reasons for scheduling a farm call can vary - several riders are interested in portraits of them or their horse, it's a new breeding season and you need to get new pictures for your stallion's advertising, or maybe you have a few quality horses for sale that need some special attention with their pictures. Whatever the demand, Uptonia Photography can accomodate your requests in a farm call.

Farm calls require private scheduling, and usually take about a half day to complete. Timing is best in the early morning or late afternoon, but when scheduling your farm call let me know what works best for you. Farm calls have a flat rate of $100. This fee includes:

• Traveling costs to your farm in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill areas of North Carolina
• Initial planning and conversation to get the most out of your photo shoot
• Several different poses/locations (on farm locations only) for you and your horse
• Photo Editing of your proofs including background correction
• A coupon for a free 8x10 Print

Proofs will be available in a private, password protected gallery approximately 72 hours after the farm call has been completed. From there you may purchase prints, gifts, and digital downloads from your photo shoot.

High Resolution Advertising Photos

Many farm calls are scheduled specifically for the purpose of obtaining high resolution pictures for advertising purposes in magazines or other print venues. Uptonia Photography can supply those for you, and I ask that you let me know ahead of time that you're interested in high resolution photos so I can add them to the site accordingly.

Since obtaining these print-ready pictures means a larger file size, as well as rights to use the photos in print material - there is a higher cost involved. High Res photos for advertising are sold at $75 a piece, which gives you the license to the picture for any printed or web material.

If you are only intersted in using the picture on the web, for example on your barn website or sales sites like equine.com, then a smaller but still high quality file is sold at $25 per image.

Farm Call Pricing Option - Unlimited Photos Per Horse

If you are intersted in purchasing every single picture taken of your horse at a farm shoot, but don't want to individually go through the images and pick print sizes, there is an option available for you. You may purchase all the images of your horse at a price of $300 per horse. The files will be sent to you on a CD, as well as available for download straight from the proofs site. They will be color corrected, cropped, and background edited just like purchased prints - only sent to you straight in digital form.
