About Lauren Upton

Welcome to Uptonia Photgraphy! I've been taking pictures my entire life from disposable film cameras as a kid, to my first digital point and shoot, and finally the wonderful world of digital SLR photography. To me, the most interesting subjects have always been those dearest to me - animals. My love of horses materialized into a love of equine photography, and there's no other subject I know more thoroughly. I've been researching, riding, and working with horses since I was ten years old. My experience in riding is in a variety of events including fox hunting, hunter/jumper, breed discipline rail classes, and western riding. I currently own a young Quarter Horse hunter gelding, "Waiting for Godot" or Beckett, pictured to the right.

Having such a diverse background and love of horses makes a difference in my photography. I am familiar with different breed & discipline standards, and know how to adjust photo taking according to what you want to see in your pictures. With photography, I specialize in local horse shows, candid moments with horse & rider, and portrait sessions to remember a favorite friend for a lifetime.

In addition to photography, I am also a professional graphic/web designer. My range of work varies from full fledged websites, to brochure and print materials, as well as online campaigning for products and services. Combining my photography with web design is extremely useful to my clients, who can use me as a "one stop shop" for the photography and creation of their farm or stallion web pages.
